Didn't get to: Horsefeathers (Marx Bros.) and Buckaroo Banzai (interlibrary loan). Remember to re-reserve these.

Books that I couldn't get into reading:
Tobias Bucknell's Ragamuffin and Sky Mongoose (second and third in series). Not enough optimism.
The Corn King and the Spring Queen: Bouncing off the ornateness of the language -- I find myself muttering, "just get on with the story," and can't get past page 50. A pity, as this has a fair amount of good recommendations. I will try again later on -- maybe in another six months or so.

TV show that was clogging up the works: Eureka. The sexism and racism going into the first couple of episodes infuriated me -- if somebody had cloned a man behind his back and had a child with the male clone, or if somebody was stealing a white man's memory and work, there'd be lawsuits aplenty and/or blood on the floor. One of the things I absolutely hate in TV/movies/written fiction is the trope that a woman's going to be "sweet" and take all sorts of wronging without ever trying to defend herself or seek justice or retaliation. There's a lot more unforgiveable sins out there than just despair. And adding in some vendetta would make for a hell of a lot more interesting stories, as well.
