long week

minastir's grandfather passed away on Tuesday, and the funeral was the next day in New Orleans. Despite the best efforts of the airlines and the rental car company, we made it there an hour before the funeral. We stayed until this morning....
He was old enough to go, but for my mother-in-law...well, as Miles remarked about General Piotr's death, "For my father, it was as if the foundations of the world had been shaken..."
