Well, it would be a nice steady job, and I would probably be patenting things for all eternity with them, or until I was RIFed or left, whichever came first. Although the Number 2 told me flat out that they already had interviewed other good candidates in person with much more experience than me, so I have at very best a 1 in 3 chance, and then we'd have to relocate across the entire continent.

Bastard Git Faced Spawn of The Devil Law Firm From Hell's Evil Yankee Cousin That reminds me, I should probably put in at a few more firms, although a fair amount of them would probably be reluctant because I've already jumped in-house once already. At least that's what one recruiter I put in with indicated.

At this point, and reviewing the lack of training I currently have, I'm not sure whether I'd be better off back at a law firm or not, in order to see whether I could get anything more out of it (e.g. draft more applications, or else switch into doing litigation).

Hopefully I will see you at INTA in Seattle, if I have a job and can convince the employer to send me out (or maybe I'll be working in Seattle -- who knows at this point?)
