Steps toward adulthood...

When your father (also an attorney) asks you for legal advice, that's a big sign of adulthood. He asked me the day after I got sworn in. :)

Good: the judge I worked for at the federal courthouse is hiring a clerk. So I worked up my nerve and called up, and his secretary remembered me and asked if I was going to apply.
Bad: Not enough applications out yet.
Good: Resisted the temptation to go stop by the fabric store that is having a moving sale, and then resisted further temptation in the form of 20% off all the yarn at a different craft store....

I should start keeping track of my statistics of applications out per day here. All right, back to work.
