the light that I see at the end of the tunnel...

may not be the headlight of an approaching train after all.

Excellent: my assistant engineer-chaser is back and mostly recovered from falling off a cliff. (not at Most Excellent because he is still wearing a cast and trying to walk too much w/ cast)

Good: there will be awards to pass out at the holiday party (assuming the folks we ordered from spelled names correctly -- I find out tomorrow)

Bad: tendonitis in the arm (so I have already taken a whole 8 days off from knitting and will probably take another week just to make sure I heal up)

Also Bad: evil nasty lower back pain, which will not respond to a) ice b) exercise c) stretching d) massage e) hot baths.

Annoying I (California Boys): the engineers who will not review the draft applications and give them back to me. I seriously need this only about twice the size in order to make them pay attention.

Annoying II (The Perfect Storm): the outside counsel who are dragging their feet with writing the applications so that we can get them to the engineers and get them on file.

Annoying III (the Alexandria Horror): J. Cacheris NOT granting GSK and Tafas' motion to depose the top brass at the USPTO. I was so disappointed; I wanted them to be as miserable as they've made all the patent prosecutors.

More Fun than I Should be Having Online: Ravelry. If they only had a feature that would match what you had in your stash to what patterns you had in your books and your queues, it would be practically perfect.
