hoping for good luck this week
Interview schedule for the next week:
Firm A (Office 1, on-site) this Monday at reasonable time
Firm B (from out East, phone interview) at oh-dark thirty on Tuesday
Firm A (Office 2, on-site) this Tuesday at reasonable time
State Unemployment Office this Tuesday in mid-afternoon (unfortunately not in same town as Firm A's interview else this would be much easier -- I am not entirely sure I'll make it on time, and have tried calling the office in order to reschedule)
Firm C (on-site) this Thursday at reasonable time
Potential leads from the gamewatch on Saturday: two (one for how to get into bankruptcy work [the bankruptcy courts here offer free classes on filing etc.]; one with a law firm). Local Recruiter who I met with on Friday also thinks litigation might suit my personality (which I concur with, but having 4 years experience in prosecution/in-house could make it more difficult to get into that line of the law).
Interesting book read: The Myth of Laziness (not that I entirely agree w/ the author, but the material on organizational disorder rang v. true for me; I frequently feel like there's too much physical and mental stuff to deal w/, like a combination of drinking from a firehose and having constant jangling noises in my head). Although it could also be mental stimulation (trying to prevent myself from falling asleep at inappropriate times etc. rings v. true as well).
Need to do:
* look up Firm A and its attorneys
* ditto for Firm B and C
* thank-you letter for last week's interview & minastir's resume to them as well
* followup on older applications (particularly the potential employer that makes things that go BOOM -- if I get that one, we are moving back East, and we will deal w/ crossing the Sierra Nevadas as best we can)
* get back on the stick about sending more resumes out (have currently 150+ out at the moment); need to reignite forward momentum somehow

Also, continuing good thoughts on the job search.
