kaylarudbek: Justice seated in the heavens with open eyes and an uplifted sword (Default)
Fell asleep on the bus into school this morning, and wound up waking up four streets down from my usual stop. Fortunately, this had the side-effect of getting me to drop off things at the city library before it opened, which is a Good Thing. I need to get things done today, and going to the city library is not conducive to that. I really, really need to quit staying up late at night. "My friend, stop that surfing. Stop staying up late at night. Go home to your spouse and family, and interact with them tonight." (rewrite of Goodnight, Irene...)

Hello to [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave, who newly friended me and who is collecting lawyers and law students.

I liked this result, although I'd say "dumber than a box of rocks," myself. On reflection, I used to collect rocks, and I like having tool bags around to fix the bike. I'd prefer either of them to Shrub.

Off to go finish off the book pull...

Well, the book pull is pretty much done. I got a compliment tonight on my hard work via email, so that was very nice.

I don't know whether to be upset by this result, or pleased that my writing is so clear...(edited to add: or whether I should start worrying that I'm going to develop Alzheimer's someday...)

Patent law hasn't corrupted me entirely yet. :) A standard patent probably has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of, oh, about 25.

Reading more on standing in the federal courts tonight. The Federal Courts professor is really clear about what he thinks the law is, but taking his course is somewhat like going cycling across the continent with only the Rand McNally atlas as the map....not a lot of (necessary) detail about exactly where you're going next. Although he's not nearly as bad as the copyright and cyberlaw professor was.

I now have another Saw Doctors CD, and I should burn a few more tonight whilst I re-read Allen v. Wright and the notes after it on citizen and taxpayer standing.
