hard drive report
Nov. 15th, 2003 12:36 pmHello to
chaos_rose. Welcome to the rambles, pull up a chair, grab yourself a beverage of your choice...
Well, Mr. Rudbek and I have managed to back up the data from Bianca the laptop onto my secondary hard drive. Norton SystemWorks 3.0 did not work, but Norton SystemWorks 2.0 did. 59,020 files cross-linked on Bianca, the blasted little !@#$%^&*()_+!!!! Thank God and St. Isidore (unofficial patron saint of the internet) that I have a desktop (eMac, named Genevieve) and a secondary hard drive (60 GB, named Mithrandir) as well as the laptop. Now I get to wait until Norton Disk Doctor 2.0 is done running before I can see about the presentation...
I have gacked some new icons from
fharraige and pulled out some of the ones from
trickofthedark. Now that we have 15 icons to play with, I'm going to put a few more on.
Other Things I Really Did Not Need To Have Happen: I was called for jury duty, and will be on call this Tuesday & Wednesday. I think that all I'll have to do is show up at the courthouse and tell them I'm a law student, and the lawyers will all reject me on voir dire. I know too much now, and I cannot be molded...*eg*
I am still all logy from the antihistamine and the running around. However, this presentation is due on Monday. Fortunately, my professor did get back to me and told me to cut a good many things out, so that it would stay at 10 pages.
It is overcast & chilly here, but no snow or rain as of yet.
Notre Dame takes on Brigham Young University this afternoon, in one hour from now.
Off I go to figure out what I need to do today...
Edited to add: Rode the trainer this morning, averaging 12.5 miles/hour for 48 minutes.
