still alive
Mar. 2nd, 2007 10:51 pmWork still crazy, but at least I have work -- my best friend from law school still does not have something permanent, minastir is still looking as well. Wishes/prayers to St. Cajetan the patron saint of job seekers requested for both.
I really, really, really need to put the patent portfolio info into some sort of filing program (Filemaker Pro or something of that ilk, I guess) because counting patents by hand is NOT pleasant, to say the least.
bad: Cue a chorus of "the ants came back, they couldn't stay away, the ants came back the very next day..." (we have been invaded yet again. they are coming in underneath a light mounted to the bottom of one of the kitchen cupboards. minastir keeps putting arsenic-laced sweet syrup out for them. I swear that we are built on top of the biggest anthill in all of California...
Good: getting a new outfit for my baby niece tonight, at 50-70% off everything. minastir thinks we should save it for her birthday so that we don't spoil her too much. I think we should check with his brother to see if she'll fit into it now.
EE class: kicking my tail right now. So glad that I managed to get the audit forms in this semester.
Knitting: I have managed to accumulate enough yarn for 65 projects. At the rate I'm currently going, I have more of a backlog than the examiners at the USPTO. IIRC, the PTO has a 4-year backlog, and I have a 5-year backlog.
The Old Man says that the entire southwestern corner of Minnesota is shut down, as is I-29 from Nebraska to Fargo, North Dakota.
Note to self: overstock.com (entertainment->books->crafts->hobbies->needlework has your knitting books much cheaper than Amazon or Borders, and low shipping.
