I always wanted to run off to the woods someday...

Well, my birthday today and I am adjusting to the thought that I am now officially middle-aged and must Act Like a Grownup from now on, which in my mind involves a) getting enough sleep at normal hours (i.e. being a Morning Person); b) exercising daily; c) stretching daily; d) writing daily; e) prayer/meditation daily. Am on quite the Diane Duane Young Wizards kick right now (wonder why she's not more popular & widely known?)

Birthday loot was good -- minastir got me a nice necklace and Mom sent me a variety of things -- I am still trying to figure out whether the button on the iPod sleeve is functional or not. Also have a number of new knitting books which is quite nice -- I suppose that someday I will be getting just the stitch pattern books and making up my own patterns from scratch, but right now the job takes up enough brainpower that all I want to do when I get home is follow printed directions to produce something, and I get the artistic touch from using different yarn and/or colors than the pattern indicates. The Old Man refers to this as "wanting bubble gum for the mind."

So far, minastir seems to be having a easier time with the MBA classes, although it is early days yet to tell.
