CLE requirements
Jan. 3rd, 2011 10:42 pmGood: according to my CLE tracker records, I only have to go out and listen to 3 hours of ethics CLE and one hour of substance abuse awareness CLE to keep my law license up-to-date, instead of having to listen to 21 hours of CLE between now and Jan. 31. I would dearly love confirmation from one of the CLE providers that I did in fact take the 12 hours of CLE in spring of 2008, but if the State Bar gives me problems, I point them at Provider (who is large enough that they bloody well should have known to keep the records for 3 years).
Bad: Spouse is convinced that I did yet another hour of ethics CLE at some point in 2009-2010, and I don't have the email on this machine because of all the chaos and switching-back-and-forth of the computers that happened in 2008-2010. So I was irritated with him and I let him know it. (Insert LOLcat with the coffee and the grumpy here).
Questioning: whether I will keep the law license active for next year (I'm working again, have been since the summer, but technically not as a lawyer, although for the sake of promotions at the Employer it would be a very good thing to have the license active)
