Sep. 10th, 2014 12:21 amJean Johnson's SF series Theirs Not to Reason Why -- checked out book 2 from the library, then proceeded to immediately buy all 4 in e-book version after I finished the library book. Hit the sweet spot for MilSF that I was craving. Love, love, the heroine (Ia). Now happily awaiting Book 5.
Linda Przybyszewski -- The Lost Art of Dress. Makes me a) want to learn how to sew b) make every fashion designer on this planet read it and apply the lessons c) go out and buy myself some sharp-looking cotton gloves d) knit myself a suit e) got out and get some sharp-looking hats f) go polish all of my shoes g) go through all of my knitting patterns to search for collar accessories. I love the idea of aging into autumnal majesty.
