It seems that almost every knitting project I've even touched from last March until now is giving me fits. First there was Bigfoot at Midnight aka Penelope's Shawl. Knitting navy blue wool into a lace shawl is officially Not A Good Idea. Then I had messed up the 80s Charlotte shawl. Now I messed up the Red Rye shawl. And my herringbone socks are tricky as well.

Do I need to go make sacrifices to the knitting goddesses to restore my ability to knit peacefully and without messing things up? And if so, what type of sacrifice or rite?

Do you have an 'idiot knitting' project -- something that is garter or stockinette that you don't have to think about? Sometimes taking a break from the complicated stuff is a good idea, especially if you're having a run of bad days.
