Finally starting to feel some creative writing urges

So I’ve been reading and hate-reading in the paranormal romance genre, and I am to the point where I am fed up with the whole “fated mates” trope. I seriously want to write a story where the heroine ditches the guy claiming that she’s his fated mate, and that there’s a whole secret society of people who help her escape (sort of a modern take on Apollo/Daphne, only with a happier ending for Daphne). Anybody who would be interested, raise your hands!
