morning report
Nov. 3rd, 2003 11:14 amThe wireless network is very, very slow here at school today. I had a previous entry and it would not submit and my LJ client locked up, so I had to force quit the client and lose my entry. Apparently, I can keep only one program that needs access to the internet open at a time. So I can have one of the following: LJ client, web browser, email; but not all three at once as is my usual practice. Ah well, at least it means that my battery will charge more quickly.
It is raining here and there were many accidents out on the roads this morning. 34 minutes into downtown, was what the sign on the interstate said this morning. The off-peak time is 14 minutes from that location, and the typical commute time is about 18 minutes.
Licensing did go well once everyone got in, and we have accomplished a fair amount. We have a fair amount left to go, but I feel that I actually accomplished something this weekend. Now I am working on the Second Edits again. It takes very painstaking and persnickety attention to detail. 100-133 footnotes per article, and they all have to be checked. Sigh. I checked the article text last night, and through the footnotes on two of the articles. I'm working on the third one now. Then I should look at them all one more time before handing them in.
I need a swim, stretching, and to do sit-ups. I will go do that before reading for ethics. After reading the attorney-client confidentiality, I need to rewrite a later scene in Vector's Challenge. I also need to think about the name of the law firm Phillippa (Vector) Shacklebolt is a junior partner in. Maybe Darnay or Carton for the senior partner(s). And maybe the senior partner is a vampire...
An interview this week, an interview next week, and then registration for classes. This year, they posted the forms for clerkships/clinics/internships and workshops/seminars/ALR on the web instead of handing them out to us in our mailboxes. And we need to get the schedule for next semester's classes as well. I suppose at the rate things are going, that will be posted on the internet as well, instead of a paper copy.
edited to add: Trillian Black has some good stuff at Riddikulus today, here. I thought of
tybalt_quin as I read it...
