catching up
Dec. 22nd, 2003 10:00 pmHah. The weather was absolutely beautiful here today. I think I do want to move here after all....
minastir and I went out on a bike ride; approx. 10-15 miles for me. He went out for more after he dropped me off.
corporatevandal and
piano_hack are here. My other brothers-in-law will not get here until Christmas Eve, which will rather mess up attending Mass as a large group.
Interesting sights on the way here: the National Inventors' Hall of Fame, in Akron, OH. Link is here. I will find the link to the patents for the "disco tribbles" later on. It's amazing what you can do with iron filings and varying magnetic fields....although minastir and I want to figure out how the magnetic field responded to the amplitude & beat of the music.
Trying to catch up with email and LJ; thank you to everyone who commented on the last entry about the origins of the common law. Hmm. Maybe I should go look at this; Why the State Must Subordinate Religion, (by Scott C. Idleman, Professor of Law, Marquette University) in LAW AND RELIGION: A CRITICAL ANTHOLOGY 175, (Stephen M. Feldman ed., NYU Press 2000).
Some ways that the "friends" page would work even better:
1) A tag or bookmark to the last time you read it, so you could read forward in time, not backward.
2) A separate page that is basically a cut & paste of the flist on the userinfo page. Yes, I'm lazy.
Must go to sleep now, as there will be people here to replace my mother-in-law's kitchen floor tomorrow early in the morning....
