Jun. 24th, 2008 08:45 pmStill alive, now back to writing patent applications (in addition to chasing after engineers and marketing and dealing w/ patent trolls and trademark squatters etc etc etc). I swear, Brooke and I are going to have to write up a TV series about IP lawyers someday, and prove the Old Man yet further wrong (nobody writes courtroom drama about patent lawyers according to him). We of course will make all teh Drama revolve about the inventors instead (nodnodnod).
Must make the case to the boss that we need another paralegal; one of our outside counsel says a 2:1 attorney/paralegal ratio is what they aim for, not sure what the other one's is yet.
The weather report said the air quality was okay, but when I took a walk at lunch, my eyes got all irritated and I came in coughing.
Startitis: v. bad. I am having a struggle keeping myself down to my four knitting projects that I allow myself (although projects off the needles needing to be sewn up etc do not count toward the four). Most knitting is now for the new nephew due to arrive this summer.
Must also go deal w/ the evil Kintera tonight -- worthless piece of garbage for attempting to draft websites in. I could do better in MS Word on a PC than I can do with their website. Unfortunately, my undergrad bought into it hook, line, and sinker. If I do not get it to work tonight, I will send back a nastygram that will peel the paint off the walls.
