Well, three interviews done out of five for this week (one phone tomorrow, one on-site Thursday, and state unemployment was happy to reschedule to Friday morning). The o-dark-thirty place wants to bring me out for on-site. Also, one of the in-house positions I interviewed for here is still a possibility. Must update the list tomorrow and send out various things.
Knitting progress: have started grocery bag no. 4. I do not understand how/why the Turkish stitch and the purse stitch so totally defeat me, but I cannot get either to work for me, ever. Probably because these stitch patterns are way too simple, so I constantly lose count of what I'm doing. My ideal knit stitch pattern is no more than 4 rows, no more than 11 stitches across (and preferably 4-5 stitches across) before the pattern repeats itself. minastir's new sock: turned heel, need to pick up for gusset. Niece's sweater: base of vest almost done, need to measure. Purple shawl: need to pick up again (it's been too hot and sticky here to properly work on this one, as the yarn contains enough mohair to be slightly unpleasant to work with when the thermometer is approaching 80 deg F).
ETA: somebody needs to make a website/community similar to Ravelry or LibraryThing, but for recipes/cookbooks (search your cookbooks for recipes involving ingredients a,b,c etc.)
