Cara Elliott -- To Sin w/ a Scoundrel (yes, a romance. Yes, I read them. Deal with it. The heroine is a chemist, and the sequels promise to follow other members of her scientific salon. I like romances where the hero or heroine are intellectuals/scientists/engineers/nerds/etc).
