So I've thought for some time now that if necromancy actually worked, that it would get developed into a discipline parallel to forensic anthropology. To riff off the book Dead Men Do Tell Tales, so to speak. Any thoughts?

The Anita Blake books by Laurel K Hamilton originally focused on Anita's job as a zombie reanimator -- she mostly hired to raise the dead to get them to sign posthumous wills and the like, but she'd get involved in a murder mystery somewhere along the way. Unfortunately the author went off the rails about book 4 or 5 and they aren't worth reading anymore.

But it is a neat idea and I wish someone would write something along those lines.
