So, from Stunning String Studio (https://www.stunningstring.com/cyber2021/) on the app I have bought the kits for Full Spectrum and Bollenstreek respectively, and a set of minis. Still trying to decide whether to get mystery kits on the website or not (I can specify the color families that I like but it’s still luck of the draw).

I think that I missed out on the Orient Express kit deal on the app, although since I have the kit in a different color combination (huckleberry purple and light gray instead of the black and red combination) I should be satisfied with what I have. (But I still really really liked that black/red combination as shown)

From Knit Picks, I bought some Stroll fingering weight to make two of these dickeys/windshields: https://www.moderndailyknitting.com/2021/10/08/the-amazing-swarf/
One will be black/gray/white with hot pink and teal as the two other colors of the five (1980s city color palette) and the other will be blues (navy/medium/light) with firecracker heather (red-orange) and a golden tan (nautical or Ernie combination). Since I tend to wear a yellow jacket for cycling (with red or purple as options depending on the weather) and a long-sleeve jersey underneath of hot pink, bright blue, or purple respectively, nothing is going to exactly go with those jacket and jersey combinations. So I picked out colors that I liked and that I thought would go with the gray and firecracker heather already in my stash.

Someone on Ravelry suggested that I try holding Stroll and Palette together (softness and strength respectively) as the pattern calls for holding two strands of fingering weight together, and that might be a good idea as well. Since a lot of my bicycle clothes are line dry anyway, it probably wouldn’t be that difficult an add to the current cycling wardrobe.

The more often that Mr. Rudbek and I go fall/winter cycling, the more projects get added to my Ravelry queue…although since we both managed to take falls while out running in the last four days, biking might wait until next weekend. He got his left knee Thanksgiving evening, and I got my left elbow, shoulder, and ribs today. I think that we fell down in the same stretch of the path, although his fall was at night when he had no lights on him, and I think that my fall today was due to fatigue and new shoes and socks.

ETA: and I still want to go to fibre space to see whether they have any navy heather in the Kelbourne Woolens Scout (https://kelbournewoolens.com/product/kelbourne-woolens-scout/) left after their Plaid Friday sale. I really want to make the Debut pullover from MDK and I was going back and forth about the color to use for that.

Or I could check Neighborhood Fibre Company to see what they have in stock for the yarn that the Debut pattern uses…(https://neighborhoodfiberco.com/collections/studio-dk) I want a fairly solid/tonal blue for some reason…
