Weaving

Nothing guarantees that I will have enough yarn to finish a project like panicking and buying more (my first weaving project is done and off the loom).

Mr. Rudbek noted that weaving is more efficient than knitting with respect to how much I can accomplish in one evening. And he noticed this while he was sitting on the couch after dinner and some beers.

I think that my next few projects will be with the cheap dishcloth cotton yarn that I can get online or at Walmart; practice with large yarns will be easier and I won’t freak out as much about making mistakes. My first project might wind up as camping towels.

This was my first weaving project ever. I found out that Ravelry has weaving as a project type, and when I entered the totals in I was surprised to see that I used over 500 yards of yarn for basically two towels. Maybe I will have a chance of using most of my yarn stash before I retire…:)
