kaylarudbekWell, I finally got back into town proper and caught up with some of the emails. Oh my, is the cat among the pigeons. I will compose more replies to my last entry later on.
As for the job interviews, I'm not expecting too much at this point.
As for the bike trip, it was rather nice. Southwestern Wisconsin has some very nice hilly areas and small towns. We did a total of about 130 miles (+/- 10 miles) this weekend, averaging about 10-12 miles per hour, which explains my current mood. Not "sore = angry," but "sore = I really don't want to sit on a bike seat again for the next several days." Animals seen on the trip: deer, elk (fenced in), llamas (fenced in), emus (fenced in), sheep, chickens, dogs both loose and chained, and one bovine in the middle of the dirt road we were on. We got off the bike and started walking it, as we did not want to get chased down a gravel road by an angry animal. I am not sure whether it was a cow or a bullock, but it was rather placid and eventually went back off the road, through a hole in the fence, and into its pasture. It was quite obviously a Wisconsin animal rather than a Montana one, as a Montana one would have chased us.
Number of dogs that actually chased us: about three, at one farm, for a short distance. We outran them fairly easily that time. Nightmares about getting chased by dogs: one. Number of dogs that chased us in the dream: four, and in the dream, I hit the two in front with pepper spray, and then we outran the two behind us.
