morning report
Aug. 5th, 2003 08:12 amWell, after applying ice-cold packs to my seat most of yesterday, I am starting to feel a bit better. However, today is still a good day to do as much standing up as I possibly can. And since the place is rapidly approaching a complete and utter state of chaos, I will be working on cleaning up.
Since I also made the IP Law Review, I have to really get on the ball in terms of getting ready for the fall semester. Buy books, make sure my office is cleaned up so I can actually work in it, start outlining, little things like that. Somehow I seem to have reversed the tradition of what happens in second year of law school versus third. Traditionally, it's "first year they scare you to death; second year they work you to death; third year they bore you to death." Not that last year was really boring, but I wasn't scared to death and I didn't feel worked to death, so that left one alternative. This year, with interviews, etc., I think I will feel like I'm being worked to death.

Date: 2003-08-05 02:06 pm (UTC)I had a startling revelation yesterday while preparing for my interview. I was reading over my transcripts to be able to explain things, and realized that while 1st year wasn't pleasant, I actually had very respectable grades my 2nd year. Not great, but respectable. 3rd year I dropped down again. Why? 6 classes. It's impossible to focus enough on all of them. Use your time wisely, my dear.
