The wedding anniversary was very nice. I got my husband a new watch. He wore his old one today, saying the new watch was too nice to wear to work, and he was going to save it for bike touring because of the built-in compass. Sigh. I will have to snare both that old watch and the one without a band, and get proper straps for them that match the style of the watch face. He got me two new bicycle jerseys of the same style & color as my current favorite, which I'd only had one of before, so I was quite happy. We stopped on the way home, and he had me pick out the roses I liked. We went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant. The food was excellent as always, and it wasn't too crowded, so the service was all right. Last time we went, we took my parents who were in town visiting, and one waiter had called in sick on a Sunday night, so things took forever...
Thoughts on part of my head being stuck in the era when I first started dating him; that's when we made our permanent commitment, never mind what the official papers say. So no wonder things get confusing; we have the official anniversary and the unofficial anniversary.
"Jacob Have I Loved" has 43 hits at FA. Not too bad for the first day it was up, and it being set in the 17th century. No reviews as of yet; maybe I should go ahead and post it up in the fic exchange thread. Wonderful review on the newest chapter of Vector's Challenge up at ff.net: "Sev and Emmy really do deserve each other. I don't think they could get it to work with anyone else." I sent that one to Brooke...
I got the official letter from the IP Law Review today. Hooray for being a grunt editor. I will be writing a Comment. I need to check and see how long a Comment is, and how much material I can squeeze into it...
Time to go back to bed...
