evening report
Aug. 23rd, 2003 11:43 pmDinner tense because my parents were tense. And they wonder why I don't come home more often...went out to the mall and Barnes & Noble after dinner. And my husband and I left B&N with an hour till it closed. I am getting old.

This one made me laugh, but I don't think I'd ever get Snape within ten feet of the lime jello...
Ten-dollar fine at my high school for the first time out-of-uniform, and detention after three incidents of out-of uniform...now why do I get different answers when I use caps versus lowercase?
I love the Twin Cities a lot, but being here reminds me why I've been doing the Odysseus thing for so long....Back for under 48 hours, and already the parents are driving me up the wall..."a plague on both their houses," so to speak. Or "the Lord made them, and the divil matched them." Now I understand why I'm writing the Vector family with the tradition of "marry somebody from the other side, and make it work." And if anyone says Mary-Sue, I will email them the entire MPEP to read, or something along those lines. I think it would be nice to live up here, but I think that I'd want to live on the other side of the metro area from my parents. 20-some miles should be enough to lower the aggravation level. Maybe. It would be nice if someday, my mother said, "you're just like your father," and meant it as a compliment. Chances of that happening: infinity to one against.
I am starting to want to play with my new website some more...I think I should put in links to authors I like. Greeley, Drake, Flint, Bujold, etc...
And my trigger-happy immune system is firing at friend and foe again tonight...sigh. And I have had enough beer so that I don't want any antihistamine.
