morning report

kaylarudbekIt is the 100th anniversary of Harley-Davidson. Milwaukee and H-D are having quite the party to celebrate. We have been invaded by motorcycles from all four directions of the compass. Tuesday night, my husband ran into a man from Holland who had been looking forward to this party for 20 years.
There were people out on the bridges over the interstate yesterday watching the traffic. Our law professors have told us that we can use this as an excuse for being late to class: "I was stuck behind a bunch of Harleys."
And everybody has signs up saying, "Welcome Harley Riders." Even the churches. There is a parade on Saturday, which we shall not be attending. My hearing and my husband's hearing is bad enough as it is; we do not need any further noise exposure.
No sightings yet of the Black Riders of Sauron motorcycles. I am definitely going to try to find out the details of that licensing deal; what an exercise for our licensing workshop!
Posted up Ch. 34 of Vector's Challenge on ff.net, to satisfy the fangirls. I thought it was rough and showed all the signs of being hastily thrown together, but I got a positive review this morning. And I have yet more scenes to finish off, decide which order to post in, and get up. Sigh.
Plus classes, IPLR, job hunt, etc etc etc...which explains my mood. At least the beer keg was gone yesterday when I came in; it probably found a good home with one of my friends.
Edited to add: The beer keg found a good home with Nick, so it might show up at an IPLR function. And the fangirls were happy to see another chapter, but they wanted more Vector. Well, I might have some time to rework a fair amount of VC this weekend...
