morning report

kaylarudbekStayed up waayy too late last night working with resumes, transcripts etc. and also working with my website. Stress and fear, that's what it is; fear that I won't find anything through Career & Placement again this year.
Lots of motorcycles everywhere last night. Fed. Cts. professor made some cracks about it yesterday; "If you're on a Harley, stay out of my county," and "There's a reason WI has a high rate of organ donation; no helmet laws here." Fed. Cts. professor is a volunteer firefighter, so he probably sees a fair amount of accidents.
Trying to start on outlines. Most of them are going fairly well, but antitrust will be a bear. The syllabus bears very little relationship to a nice, neat outline form.
I desperately need a nap. Hopefully not during class. And I need a new watchband and a restyling of my hair at some point as well. At lunch yesterday, I was ranting to Brooke about my hair -- it looks all 1970s right now after the latest haircut, and I absolutely hate it. I am starting to toy with Walter Mitty fantasies of shaving it all off and starting over from scratch. Not that I'd ever do it, but oh, I like the thought.
I sympathize with Snape at times, I honestly do -- having greasy/oily hair that absolutely will not behave... I've never bought the idea that he has bad hygiene. So Snape didn't win the genetic lottery on his hair. I don't think that implies that he never washes his hair. Just that he hasn't come up with the right shampoo at the right time. fabularasa post something once about Snape being part-Italian? I really like that idea; gives a good explanation for the hair, the nose, and the attitude. And I say this as a part-Italian myself.
