Whoo-whee indeed. Wow, what a movie. Very impressive.
I seriously want to run away and join the Rohirrim. The cavalry charge was awesome.
Some nitpicks:
1) I wanted to hear Eowyn tell the Witch-King "Begone, foul dwimmerlaik."
2) Ellahir and his brother (Elros?) Arwen's brothers and their company should have ridden through the Paths of the Dead with Aragorn.
3) There should have been a skeleton dressed in armor at the entrance to a vault in the Paths of the Dead -- the son of the first king of Rohan.
4) The Bergil? (son of Beregond)-Pippin scenes.
5) The Halls of Healing (Eowyn, Faramir, Aragorn).
6) The Mouth of Sauron at the Black Gate.
7) Gandalf saying at the Black Gate, "The reign of Sauron is overthrown. The Ring-bearer has fulfilled his Quest."
8) The Scouring of the Shire.
9) Aragorn got Anduril reforged at Rivendell in the first book.
10) The Aragorn v. Sauron in the palantir.
11) Denethor and the palantir.

But the only way they could ever do full justice to everything in the books is to make a mini-series.

I think a lot of it's in the Extended Cut. Elrond's sons are Elladan and Elrohir ;)
